We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. That regeneration occurs when the individual, being convicted by the Holy Spirit, repents of his sins and places his faith in Jesus Christ alone for his salvation.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Availability: No task is more important than the person engaging with us right now.

Confidentiality: "Maintain confidentiality for it is the essence of trust." -Billy Graham

Dignity: The ways we acknowledge each individual’s inherent value will shine through all we do and say.

Hope: Have the courage to stand up for the overlooked and be a hope-dealer. (Isaiah 61 NIV)

Growing Oaks exists to facilitate a dignified and certain transition from economic bondage to fiscally secure family life and productive community citizenship.

Growing Oaks Members are committed to partnering with each other along our journeys from ashes to beauty as we transform into oaks of righteousness, plantings of the Lord, for the display of His splendor. (Isaiah 61 NIV)

Growing Oaks fulfills its purpose and pursues its mission through a two-part community-based strategy.

Growing Oaks Association provides educational resources, plan implementation support, mentoring and financial decision help line resources. The Association facilitates the donation and deployment of transportation resources, assists with exploring housing options and maintains a network for referrals for services including other social services, work reentry programs, employment and legal assistance. The Association also works in partnership with other service providers as an element in their case management and with employers as a component of their employee assistance programs.

Growing Oaks Federal Credit Union is a federally insured credit union that distinctly returns to the cornerstone purpose for which credit unions were created, to assist the unserved and underserved. The credit union does not necessarily compete with mainstream financial institutions, but rather fills the gap between mainstream financial institutions and other financing facilities.

A key objective in both parts of the strategy is to partner with existing resources and collaborate, not duplicate.
